This bus trip went to the "Bromeliad Extravaganza" held at the Community Centre on Edinburgh Castle Road, Wavell Heights in Brisbane.
We had morning tea at this venue as well as a feast of bromeliads to choose from.
Then boarded the bus to John & Inga Drake’s home & garden, at Bayford Street, Birkdale.
John & Inga are members of our Society & kindly offered their garden for a visit.
John & Inga were most hospitable, offering both a lovely garden as well as provided some lovely refreshments to add to the enjoyable lunch in the garden.
Then we boarded the bus for Jeff Sear’s garden, at Capalaba.
Jeff is a member of the Queensland Bromeliad Society & had also kindly agreed to our visit.
Geoff´s garden, was equally a treat to behold with a fantasy of colourfull bromeliads to see & enjoy.
Befor going home, one last treat? a raffle for participants of the trip was held befor boarding the bus & then home.
