Membership
of the Gold Coast Succulent & Bromeliad Society Inc. is open
to anyone, of any age, interested in studying, growing, collecting succulents
&/or bromeliads. An application form can be posted to you by
contacting our Secretary.
The
Gold Coast Succulent & Bromeliad Society Inc. warmly welcomes
visitors and members to join in regular fellowship at the general
monthly meetings and the various external functions. Members
from other Societies are also invited to attend our meetings while
in the region.
The Gold Coast Succulent & Bromeliad Society Inc. produces an
informative bimonthly journal called "Bromlink" which
is available to all members and associated societies. It carries
regular and special articles and features like the advertising
of coming events, Plant descriptions, Monthly Meeting topics,
Competition Results, Reports, Book Reviews, Plant Cultivation
and Propagation and the Items for Sale include supply of plants,
seeds, books and magazines. If you would like to contribute to
the next "Bromlink" journal please contact the editor; Gail Young.
These rates are effective from AGM 26/09/09.
Single
- $25.00 annual subscription
Family - $40.00 annual subscription
Postage $3.50 (if required).
The
annual subscription is due before the date of 1st October Meeting of each year.
ONLY members who have paid subscriptions prior to 1st January,
will be able to sell plants at the January meeting.
Membership renewal after 31st December, will incur a $5.00 joining fee.

Foundation 1978
The Gold Coast Succulent & Bromeliad Society Inc. was founded in 1978 by a group of local
dedicated horticulturist and plant enthusiasts. The Society has
continued to promote the fellowship of plants with continued vigor
ever since and remains strong to achieve these goals and objectives.
Objectives of the Society
-
To
stimulate interest in the conservation and to promote the
culture and development of succulents and bromeliads.
-
To
acquire and disseminate information regarding these plants
and to encourage their production and propagation.
-
To ban totally from our collection any such
plants which become noxious.
-
To
enlighten members and the public on the dangers of cultivating
certain noxious species.
-
To
give exhibitions, arrange field days and other events and
to make such publications as are deemed desirable.
-
To
associate, affiliate or otherwise joint or connect ourselves
with similar bodies or societies.
-
To
make seeds and plants available to members under the control
of the Society.

To
foster family membership and members.
